Guidelines For Padyatri
- Enhance Your Journey: Immerse yourself in the spiritual essence by reading the Shri Sai Satcharitra and other available Shri Sai literature.
- Travel Light: Carry minimal luggage, including essentials like a bedroll, raincoat, batteries, and personal medications.
- Flexible Start Point: After registering at Shri Sai Palkhi Bhawan, you can begin the Palkhi journey from any designated location.
- Identification: All participants and volunteers must wear their badges at all times during the procession.
- Vehicle Registration: If bringing a vehicle, ensure both the vehicle and driver are registered with the Sai Palkhi Trust.
- Valuables: Avoid carrying expensive items or jewelry. If you do, take full responsibility for their safety.
- Daily Walk: Be prepared to walk 29–31 km daily. Participate only if you are physically fit and have consulted your doctor. Share any medical concerns with friends or family in advance.
- Foot Care: Avoid pouring water on your feet immediately after halting, as it may cause blisters. Let your feet cool naturally before washing them.
- Relaxation Tip: To recover quickly, sit in the Vajrasana pose and allow your body to relax.
- Stopover Conduct: Maintain discipline and good behavior during stopovers. Adhere strictly to cleanliness rules and avoid any addictions. Remember, the Palkhi is a spiritual journey, not a leisure trip.
- Shirdi Stay: Accommodation in Shirdi will be provided only to devotees who walked the Palkhi, not to accompanying relatives or friends. Inform organizers if you plan to stay elsewhere in Shirdi.
- Return Travel: Devotees are responsible for their own return travel arrangements.
- Personal Matters: Organizers are not liable for any personal issues during the Palkhi procession.
